Own Class Schedule"
Just pick one of the
classes you see below and then call the shop
to see when a class time is open.
Registering for a "Create
Your Own Class" is the same procedure as any
previous classes. Pick your basket,
pick your date and call us to
schedule.
You will need to send at least 50% of class
fee when you register and give us 2 weeks
notice prior to your chosen date. See the
registration policy at the bottom of this
page.

Class #1 Beginning Double Wall
Basket

Learn to weave a double wall
basket. In this session, we will learn
the basics of double wall basketry as the
Cherokees weave these baskets.

Gathering Basket
Weaving level: Beginner
This useful basket can be
used as an herb gathering, garden basket or
a casserole carrier. The student will learn
to weave on a D-shaped handle and make a
decorative wrapped handle.

Melon Basket
Weaving level: All
weavers
The melon basket is a
ribbed basket woven on 10" hoops. A
braided handle and a God's Eye make this
simple design eye-catching.

X's and O's
Weaving level: All
weavers
The weaver will create a
round basket using flat reed. This basket
has a push in handle and overlaid
decoration. Emphasis is placed on fitting
the basket to a pre-shaped handle and the
use of color to create the design.
